Duchy Stoves & Chimneys are a family run, HETAS and NACE registered business based in Looe, South East Cornwall.
We offer a friendly, reliable service, and quality workmanship with a competitive price tag. We have been in the building industry for over 20 years. We can supply and install a wide range of stoves (Wood & Solid Fuel), with styles to suit all tastes. You can see several examples of these stoves on this website, some wood burning, others multi fuel. Our stoves come in many different designs, some very modern, others with a more traditional appeal. Here at Duchy Stoves & Chimneys we offer the full package: as well as stove installations and chimney linings we offer free advice & quotes, sweeping, servicing and we are always on the other end of the phone should you need any aftercare advice!
We offer a wide range of chimney lining systems including flexible liners, twin wall insulated systems, pumice Isokern liners and CCLS (cast in situ concrete lining system).

How we work

If you have a chimney problem and would like to find out how Duchy Stoves can help, the first stage is to get in touch with us with the details of your project. We will arrange to visit your home at a time convenient to you and make an assessment of what needs to be done.
Once we have made the assessment and fully understood your requirements, we will write to you outlining the scope of the work, the cost and a realistic timescale to complete the project.

As soon as you have confirmed that you would like us to go ahead, we will schedule the work and give you a reasonable idea of our lead times.
Where a job needs to be dealt with urgently, we will do whatever we can to enable this to happen within your schedule.

Once work commences we like to see a job through to completion as efficiently as we can.  We will provide an explanation to you of how the work will progress.  We will also explain the process of work, the method of working and an estimate of completion.  We always ensure that as far as possible, floors and furniture are protected and that when we leave we have thoroughly cleared the site of any debris.  We are alert to all health and safety issues and will clearly mark any no go areas.

Before leaving we will ensure that the appliance and the flue are tested and working correctly. We will give you advice on fuels and show you how to use your stove effectively and efficiently.

Richard, ( Rich ) of Duchy Stoves and Chimneys is a true professional,  with a work ethic way above the norm.
Rich is thorough, and very knowledgeable. His attention to detail and the fact that he LISTENS to your requirements is most reassuring and produces  work of the highest quality.  Clearing
away all debris  (in our case over half a ton of brick rubble) and leaving your property clean and tidy.
Not overly expensive, very easy and comfortable to have in your home, we thoroughly  recommend  him if you require his expertise.

We had repair work carried out to an old chimney and a new log burner installed, both Nicola and Richard have been fantastic throughout the job from start to finish. Communication was very clear on what and how  the work would be carried out, throughout various stages of the work Richard kept us informed of progress and carried out a very neat and tidy job.

This company are prompt and super efficient. Removed an old leaking chimney stack and installed a flue. Then 6 years later with
